Australian Sunscreen Council attends U.S. Consul General reception with key industry leaders

The Australian Sunscreen Council was pleased to attend a reception and networking event hosted at the residence of the Consul General of the United States of America in Woollahra, New South Wales, on Thursday, 14 May 2026.

The event was held on the occasion of the visit of Registrar Corp’s Chief Revenue Officer, Tim Rourk, and brought together a range of industry leaders, regulatory specialists, and business representatives with shared interests in international trade, compliance, and market access.

Australian Sunscreen Council member Joseph Mizikovsky was in attendance, representing the Council and engaging with key stakeholders across the broader consumer goods, regulatory, and export sectors. The evening provided a valuable opportunity to discuss the growing importance of robust compliance systems, international regulatory alignment, and the opportunities for Australian manufacturers to expand their presence in global markets.

As sunscreen regulation continues to evolve internationally, events such as this provide an important platform for building relationships, exchanging insights, and ensuring that Australian industry perspectives are part of the broader conversation. The Council remains committed to supporting a strong, credible, and globally competitive sunscreen sector, with a particular focus on product safety, manufacturing standards, and consumer confidence.

The Australian Sunscreen Council extends its sincere thanks to the Consul General, Jeremy Cornforth, and his team for hosting the event at the Consul General’s Residence. Their hospitality created an excellent setting for meaningful discussion and connection between Australian and international industry representatives.

We also thank Tim Rourk and the Registrar Corp team for their engagement and contribution to the evening. The Council looks forward to continuing conversations with industry leaders who share an interest in strengthening compliance, supporting responsible manufacturing, and advancing the future of sun protection in Australia and abroad.
